In Norway, Alstom is engaged in a major signaling project , which will carry out the renewal of the Norway train fleet (more than 400 trains) with the ERTMS technology with various classes of trains (passenger trains, freight trains, works trains).
The project is planned in two phases. During the first phase (2019-2020), the project is setting up in Norway and the onboard ERTMS will be installed in 3 trains for testing and validation of the Norway solution.
The second phase called rollout (2021-2026) will consist in the installation of the onboard ERTMS in the Norwegian trains (>
As the Installation Design Engineer, you will write the Mechanical request form in order for the design office to properly understand and produce the mechanical drawing and the 3D presentation.
Explain and review with project members based in Charleroi in Belgium on all the mechanical design constraints of each solution and perform surveys on site (inside the train) and define the technical solution for the mechanical part.
Report any failure of the mechanical solution during the train fitment in order to address the change in short term period.
You will work in team with members of the Engineering department in Norway and in Belgium
