The job :
As an In-House Service Engineer you have a key role in supporting our Cascadion™ SM Clinical Analyzers. You will be part of the factory support team and have a chance to work with technically advanced instruments in an innovative and international working environment.
You will install, maintain and repair our on-site Clinical Analyzers, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
This is an ideal role for either an experienced Field Service Engineer who has previously worked with Mass Spectrometry instruments and applications, OR a freshly graduated PhD with expertise in Mass Spectrometry / Liquid Chromatography.
If you are in the latter category, we will provide full engineering training.
This role is based at our Vantaa site in Finland, where we manufacture our Cascadion Clinical Analyzers, however, we have advertised this role in a number of different locations across Europe as we are very open to suitable candidates who are willing and able to relocate to Finland within a relatively short time frame.

What will you do?
Perform installation, repairs, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of Cascadion™ SM Clinical Analyzers and Assays mainly in our Vantaa, Finland site
Accurately document, analyze and report support activities
Timely handling of technical product support cases and complaint assessment
Actively participate in product change process, and contribute to develop and maintain product support documentation and processes
Who we are looking for : (experience, skills & abilities)
A Degree in Engineering (any discipline) OR a Degree in a Life Science (PhD level preferred) with extensive hands-on experience of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry
Hands-on experience of liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry instrumentation, software and applications (essential)
Professional experience in servicing analytical or general laboratory instruments (gained either as an Engineer or when working as a Scientist in a lab)
Some experience in technical product support within Invitro Diagnostics industry would be an advantage (but not essential)
Ability to work independently and prioritize workload in an effective manner
Ability and mindset to quickly diagnose and resolve technical analytical problems
Fluent in English (essential); proficiency in Finnish, Swedish, German, or French an advantage
