Ducky has been developing an innovative climate engagement tool and a cutting-edge climate calculator over the last six years.
We are working closely with some of the best sustainability researchers in the world, and have got some of the largest influential companies already on our pay list, like IKEA, Yara and Mizuho bank.
We are currently entering the japanese and UK market and our latest tools can potentially contribute to create significant global impact by aligning the goals of individuals, politicians and industry actors.
We are now looking for board members that want to join our journey. Ducky is not like other companies and our board is also different from what you would expect.
In Ducky strategic work is done by Ducks who are all leaders following a shared governance. As a board member you will still have an important support function to ensure that Ducky follows national and international laws and regulations.
You will also be included in company meetings and processes where your expertise is highly valued.
Examples of processes you can be involved in as a board member :
Advice colleagues on legal matters, and ensure that Ducky follows national and international laws and regulations.
Take financial decisions regarding loans or investments to support Ducks
Use your expertise to give advice in concrete projects / processes.
Act as a public defender when needed.
Stay updated on company progress and work processes.
All colleagues must follow the governance. The board should take action to resolve conflicts and other negative consequences that may arise if the governance is not followed.
You will be invited to be part of company meetings, internal communication channels etc. in order to be accessible for giving advice to your colleagues.

Drive for using your skills and experience to create positive impact.
Strong interest and openness to learn about self managed organizations.
Humble, and open to experience that companies and boards can be run differently than traditional once.
Background or experience from one or more of the following fields; Law, finance, investments, conflict management, coaching, self-managed organizations and / or other boards.
Experience and network in a relevant industry or organisation is an advantage. Some examples are agile software development, environmental management, educational technology and environmental work in a governmental or political position.
Great communication skills and ability to create and maintain networks : Accurate, professional, efficient and friendly.
Able to act fast when situations arise that require immediate action.

In Ducky all Ducks choose salary based on personal needs up to a limit of 700 000 NOK. We expect a board position to take approximately a 10% commitment, meaning that you can choose a salary up to 70 000 NOK.
