To strengthen our R&D team, we are seeking a result and quality-oriented mechatronics engineer or an electrical engineer with a flair for mechatronics.

Joining our team, you will be involved in further developing our market leading cutting table systems. Esko is unique in offering you the opportunity to follow product development through all development phases starting from product idea through requirement gathering, concept design, prototyping, detail design and manufacturing, all the way to product launch.
The R&D environment is LEAN based, cross functional and international with Kongsberg as the center of knowledge. Kongsberg serves as the main location for R&D while also supporting our production engineering and manufacturing site in Europe.
Some travelling to other sites, exhibitions, suppliers and customers should be expected. Key activities?
Perform engineering changes for existing products
Developing product concepts and design, build, test and verify prototypes
Prototyping of ideas using modern prototyping tools
Detail design of electrical / mechanical parts and assemblies
Perform design reviews
Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry standards
Create specifications based on customer requirements
Preferably you have 4 or more years of experience working with embedded mechatronic systems. Experience with industrial automation, servo and motion control and / or embedded software is a benefit, but not a requirement.
Bachelor or master’s degree in mechatronics or electrical engineering
Experience with embedded electronics and mechatronics
Fundamental skills in physics and math
Experience using CAD systems for electrical and mechanical documentation. We use Creo Parametric / Schematics and AutoCAD.
Good English skills, both spoken and in writing
Experience in mechatronics, mechanical and electronics simulation will be well received
