Key Account Manager - Primary Care, Western Norway

Sanofi Norway is seeking an experienced field based Key Account Manager responsible for Western Norway to be based in the area of Oslo or Hordaland.

We have several exiting future opportunities for our insulin Toujeo and looking to launch a new lipid lowering treatment next year.

To strengthen our Primary Care business unit, we are looking for a Key Account Manager, who will be involved in mapping, planning and carrying out promotional activities primarily in the western part of Norway.

The role will be responsible for managing specific projects and budgets and reaching sales targets. By building strong relationships, you will become a trusted partner for specialists, general practitioners, nurses and other key stakeholders.

We are looking for candidates interested in the field of diabetes and / or cardiovascular with previous experience in selling pharmaceutical products as a registered sales representative.

The right candidate will be both results and solution driven, demonstrate strong analytical and project management skills with an ability to create successful personal sales plans and support with digital activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop Sanofi business within defined region / accounts by providing valuable insights and solutions to key stakeholders i.

e. (prescribers) specialist physicians KOLs, nurses and GPs :

Customer insights and planning

Identify and prioritize customers in a defined region of Western Norway. Develop and maintain an effective plan of action in cooperation with internal teams :

  • Actively provide input into targeting and maintaining an up-to-date list of stakeholders;
  • Identify and interact with important stakeholders according to business needs (i.e. KOLs, prescribers);
  • Monitor investments and ensure they are focused on high potential customers (e.g. local ROI analysis);
  • Regularly update CRM tools to share most up-to-date data;
  • Own and coordinate the account plans with input from sales, marketing, market access, medical affairs and CSU.
  • Demonstrate the value of products

    Deliver high quality messages in a compliant manner to demonstrate the value of Sanofi’s products. Maximize the impact of interactions with customers through effective preparation, message delivery and active follow-ups :

  • Understand where the customer is on the road to adoption for Sanofi’s products, and what is required to progress;
  • Comply with Sanofi’s and national / local ethical codes, and promote the importance of compliant behavior;
  • Provide valuable support for customers via tension, tailored message, teaching approach and clear actions (take control) in line with Sanofi’s Challenger concept.
  • Develop the value of partnerships beyond products & build external advocates

    Extend the value of Sanofi beyond the products and deliver value-added services to customers. Identify opportunities to partner with the customer to implement and track the impact of highly tailored solutions :

  • Identify important regional / national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs);
  • Engage with KOL’s, and prescribers through projects (short and long term);
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships with customers;
  • Position Sanofi as a healthcare solution provider, by communicating the wide array of services available;
  • Collaborate with local patient association groups (if individual delegation according SOP is received).
  • Deliver results for Sanofi

    Drive the sales of Sanofi products. Track and follow-up on commitments and share feedback internally :

  • Know overall targets and track performance against them;
  • Effectively use Sanofi’s resources and expertise (Medical Affairs, CSU, Patient access and Marketing etc.) to help achieve sales targets;
  • Use a Multi-Channel Marketing approach to reach customers (including digital solutions);
  • Communicate the value of Sanofi’s offerings and demonstrate benefits versus competitors;
  • Effectively use digital tools (e.g. iPad, Digital marketing, E-newsletter etc.) in interactions with customers.

  • Qualifications

  • Academic education;
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience;
  • Language requirements : fluent both in Norwegian and English;
  • Driver’s license.
  • Requirements of the job

  • Requires frequent travel to the region;
  • Needs flexibility in working hours in order to meet customer needs (evening meetings etc.);
  • Ability to operate with discretion and confidentiality about sensitive data (Sanofi insights & personal information).
