With a rapidly growing array of sales teams, it's important to have knowledgeable, charismatic leaders to guide our client sales teams.

As a Sales manager, you'll lead and coach high-performing account teams that use consultative sales skills to understand our advertisers' needs and deliver measurable solutions that grow their businesses.

You will also work with the sales leadership team to set strategic objectives and run the day-to-day operations for the business.

Sales managers willingly help their teams and roll up their sleeves to partner directly with clients to provide comprehensive service.

You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to train and motivate a large team, and you take an analytical approach to sales management.

As an Industry Lead, you will develop the vision and manage the sales account strategies to unlock the potential within our portfolio of advertisers.

You'll build and maintain relationships with executive-level clients, industry-specific direct advertisers and relevant agency contacts, educating clients about Google at targeted meetings, events and conferences.

You'll provide team development, guidance, feedback and motivation to team members, developing a deep understanding of the business needs of advertisers and customers.

You're comfortable leading in complexity, you'll work as a trusted business advisor to executives, and you'll help Norwegian businesses with digital transformation to create long-

term sustainability and success. You'll be an integral part of the leadership team in Google Norway and you'll work with other leaders across finance, travel, tech and telco.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands.

We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Work on the leadership team and work with the country director, as required.
  • Define, own and deliver against medium- and short-term goals, driving a change in the effectiveness of client businesses.
  • Help advertisers succeed in a global, rapidly-changing environment.

  • Oversee robustness of analytical approach to identifying opportunities to improve conversion in client's digital marketing.
  • Own the business and understand details of day-to-day operations.

  • Manage by example, develop a team of dedicated media / digital professionals and contribute to the development of the leadership in Oslo.
  • Drive industry thought leadership and be an expert on marketing and digitization. Build and maintain relationships with executive-
  • level clients, industry-specific direct advertisers and relevant agency contacts.

    Minimum qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in business development and developing client relationships.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and one or more Scandinavian languages fluently and idiomatically.
  • Preferred qualifications :

  • Master's degree and a background in consulting.
  • Experience and success devising breakthrough plans to win new business.
  • Understanding of digital branding within the marketing / media mix.
  • Understanding of Google’s products and an interest in all things digital. Track record as a diversity focused leader.
  • Ability to mentor and coach a team to drive their performance and motivation.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, combined with good business judgment and experience presenting solutions to executive-level audiences.
