Stanhope Hotel is the unique 5-stars property of the Thon Hotels’ group in Brussels. The hotel offers 125 bedrooms as well as an extensive conference facilities and a gastronomic restaurant.

We have now available chefs de rang in our F&B team FULL TIME Main purpose of job : The F&B staff is responsible for a clean, quick and organized service with a client-

oriented attitude in our different F&B outlets. The chef de rang has more responsibilities and should set objectives to reach in order to improve the service quality.

He should look after the client’s comfort and wellness. Responsibilities / Tasks :

  • Supervise and take part in the material and furniture cleaning ensure the general order pay attention to HACCP rules organize and manage the service material and take care of it.
  • Take care and control all the necessary daily set up for the time being and for the future (furniture, material, tables and chairs set up, linen, etc )
  • Check the set up for the service : bread, butter, sets, aperitifs, drinks, cutlery, coffee, etc.
  • Give instructions to kitchen staff (and / or maître d’hôtel) to prepare the dishes according to the service.
  • Take part in the service. Ensure the smooth running according to the clients’ desires. Serve food and drinks.
  • Take care of the F&B requisitions from the restaurant, bar, minibar and communicate the needs to the responsible.
  • Know how to handle the cashier, take initiatives.
  • Inform defects / out of order to the responsible or technical department.
  • Ensure and control the order and the cleaning in the different rooms used by the guests.
  • Be able to train a new team member in the same position.
  • Skill set we are looking for : You are flexible and initiative-oriented and thrive in a hectic working environment.

  • Previous Food and Beverage experience is a must
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and French and / or Dutch. Any other language is a plus.
  • Flexibility : flexible schedule from Mondays to Sundays
  • MICROS knowledge is a plus.
