The client is an offshore / subsea installation contractor, who focus on SURF and subsea structures. They require a Senior SURF Fabrication Engineer to join their project team, on a 12 month initial contract with an urgent start date.

Duties and responsibilities
Follow up all aspects related to fabrication, welding, NDE, coating and material in projects
Develop "Scope of Work" documents for procurement and fabrication of various subsea products for tenders (e.g. structures, rigid spools, coiled tubing, protection covers, flowlines, umbilical's, risers etc.)
Provide technical advice and solve problems related to fabrication matters (e.g. corrosion, coating qualification, material selections, industry regulations and guidelines, welding procedures, etc.),
Work closely with project teams and other departments
Perform sub-contractor follow up as required
Strong focus on quality in terms of driving and following internal QA / QC procedures to ensure that all products are "fit for purpose" and "right the first time"
Review subcontractors' documents and procedures
Engage in close corporation with clients and subcontractors and liaise with 3rd party and Client representatives
Have good knowledge of national and international codes, standards and specifications for subsea fabrication
College / University, M.Sc. or B.Sc. preferably in materials or related engineering topics
Min. 5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably subsea
Extensive experience with fabrication follow-up of spools, rigid flowlines, flexible products, structures etc.
Experience with fabrication processes related to different materials (carbon steel, CRA, GRP, plastics, rubber etc.)
Must be fluent in English
Strong analytical problem solving
Results oriented with the ability to act decisively
Good workload and time management skills
Excellent organization skills
Good cooperation and communication skills
